 The Advocacy, Outreach, & Inclusion Committee ensures equitable, inclusive, and community-driven disaster recovery by advocating for marginalized groups, engaging diverse populations, and promoting accessible resources and services.  

The North Carolina Department for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing has tips to help emergency responders in strengthening strategies in alerting, providing, and maintaining effective and inclusive communication accommodations to people who are Deaf, Hard of Hearing and Blind.
